The Resurrection!

The Resurrection.  Today, during the (Mass of the) Resurrection, I saw the Lord Jesus in the midst of a great light.  He approached me and said, "Peace be to you, My children", and He lifted up His hand and gave His blessing.  The wounds in His hands, feet, and side were indelible and shining.  When He looked at me with such kindness and love, my whole soul drowned itself in Him.  And He said to me, "You have taken a great part in My Passion; therefore, I now give you a great share in My joy and glory." The whole time, the Resurrection (Mass) seemed like only a minute to me.  A wondrous recollection filled my soul and lasted throughout the whole festal season.  The kindness of Jesus is so great that I cannot express it.  (Diary: Divine Mercy in My Soul 205.)

Happy Easter to you all! Indeed, the Lord has risen just as He promised. Death and sin can no longer hold us down. We will now rise and dwell for Eternity with Jesus, a promise that fills us with hope! As we praise Jesus with shouts of Alleluia, let our trust in Jesus guide our lives. Jesus can help us pray through difficulties, as He prayed in the garden. He will strengthen us as we carry our crosses and bless us with His peace and love.

May the peace of the Lord fill you with great happiness today!  Our King is no stranger.  He stands before you today and speaks your name.  You are His delight!  Together, let us sing, "Allulia, He has risen!" And listen to each verse Jesus sings, "Follow Me. You can trust that I have prepared a place for you for all Eternity!"

The Stone Has Been Rolled Back!

Just before Holy Week, my family and I went on vacation.  One evening, my sons and I decided to go to the hot tub.  It was a little crowded, but still, enough room for us to squeeze in. As we settled, another family began discussing returning to their room.  Before leaving, a young woman in her twenties said with a shaky voice, "I don't know if anyone would be interested in me sharing a message. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.  He has saved my life, and He can save yours, too!"

She happened to be sitting next to me. As I turned to face her, I could see she was beaming from the inside. "Amen!" I said.

She smiled. "I just became a Christian last month.  I feel completely changed!"

"That's awesome!" I said. "Congratulations!" A few other people added their congratulations. She shared a few more comments, grabbed a towel to dry off, and walked away.

I thought of this young woman's courage recently. On Easter morning, we discovered that the tomb was empty. We all exclaimed, "Alleluia!" but I wonder if we allow our faith to comfortably live in the empty tomb most of the year. Our faith isn't meant to remain in a closed-off area inside ourselves.  We must roll back the stone and allow the Risen Jesus to freely move in our lives.  Like the apostles, allow Jesus to walk through your walls of fear and touch you with His peace, love, and forgiveness.

Go out and boldly proclaim the Good News! Let the world know that Jesus is your Lord and Savior, too!

Easter Morning Joy

The crowd's noise drew me to the window. As I peered out, I saw Jesus struggling to walk with his cross. He looked nothing like the man I had heard preach. He had been filled with light, love, and life. Did he glance my way? I wanted to reach out to help, but I felt fearful and imprisoned behind the window. Later that day, I heard he died.

Early Sunday morning, a bright light shone through the window. I heard a voice say, "You are no longer a prisoner. Fear has no power over you. I have risen. Believe, and you will be free." His outstretched hand reached for me. I placed my hand in his, and he pulled me into His Light. I felt renewed!

I believe in His Resurrection! Today, I will rejoice and tell the world, "Jesus, my Lord and Savior, has saved me from sin and death! I am filled with His Light, His love, and His Life! My life is now changed forever!" Yesterday, I was a prisoner of my fears; He has set me free today. What a glorious new day! I will leave my old ways behind and walk in His Light! Alleluia!

Happy Easter!

Just before my morning alarm went off, I felt the light of day caress my cheek and a tiny whisper in my ear. “ Alleluia, He is risen! Alleluia, He is risen!”

My eyes opened as my heart beat faster. I jumped out of bed and exclaimed, “Yes, Alleluia, He is risen!” Joy overtook my senses. Today was not only Sunday but Resurrection Sunday! The day that changed everything.

My Glorious Lord stepped out of the grave and into my life. He has rescued me from sin and death with arms full of merciful love. I begged the Lord to hold me tight and never let me forget this moment. Peace filled my being. Love encompassed my thoughts. Today my King has opened my prison doors and offered me the Kingdom! Rejoice with me!

Divine Mercy Sunday

How beautiful it is to continue celebrating the Easter season with the celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday.  Jesus told St. Faustina that the blood and water that flowed forth when His Sacred Heart are represented by a pale and red ray. "These two rays issued forth from the depths of My tender mercy when my agonized Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross."  Jesus encourages us to "dwell in the shelter" of these two rays. I would like to suggest that everyone  have a Divine Mercy Image of Jesus in their homes so that we all may receive the abundant graces Jesus desires to grant us.
I get excited whenever I think of the feast of Divine Mercy.  After Jesus conquers sin and death so that we may enjoy Eternal Life with Him, He continues to demonstrate His great love for each of us by showering us with His Mercy.  Listen to these beautiful words Jesus uses when talking with St. Faustina about The Feast of Divine Mercy:
I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who
approach the fount of My mercy.

On that day are opened all the divine floodgates through
   which graces flow.

My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or angel,
will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity.

Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the
   Fount of My Mercy.

I would like to encourage everyone to bask in God's amazing love.  Let His Divine Mercy fill your very being and then share this with the rest of the world.  Have a blessed day everyone!

Absolutely Amazing!

Harper stood at the start line with all the other kids.  She listened carefully as they explained the rules.  Each child could find three eggs, and inside each egg contained something special.  Harper looked at the other kids and got a little worried.  They looked bigger.  They were probably faster than her, too.  She wondered if there were even enough eggs for everyone to get three.
"Okay is everybody ready?"  asked the lady in charge.  "On your mark, get set, go!"
Suddenly Harper felt kids pushing past her.  Within minutes she could hear the other kids shout, "I got one!  I found another one!"
Harper watched as everyone ran ahead of her.  She wondered if she should just start running, too, when all of a sudden she looked down and saw the most beautiful golden egg she had ever seen.  As she bent down to pick it up, she wondered how all the kids could have just ran past it and not even notice it?  Just holding the egg felt special to Harper.  Carefully, she opened the egg.  Inside were two tiny pieces of wood and a small note that read:  "My dear child, hold the piece of wood in your right hand that says 'LOVE'.  Take the other piece that says 'FORGIVENESS' and lay it across it to form a cross."
When Harper did this the letters disappeared and then formed a new word: MERCY.  Harper smiled.  The mercy of God was incredible.  It was the most beautiful gift she had ever received!  She just stood there allowing the mercy of God to touch her.  She wasn't even sure how much time had passed when she suddenly realized all the other kids were back and talking about their eggs.
"I found three eggs filled with dollar bills!"
  "My eggs had pretty jewelry!"
"My eggs were filled with my favorite candy!"
Harper was excited, too, and said, "I only found one egg, but look what was inside-God's mercy!"
"Let me see," said one boy.  "Oh, that just a cross."
"No, look closer," said Harper.  "When God's love and forgiveness intersect, we find His Mercy.  Isn't it absolutely amazing!"
Another boy looked and said, "I don't get it. What's so amazing about it?"
Harper looked at the boy and said, "Come here.  I want you to feel how amazing God's mercy is."
The boy shook his head, "No thanks.  I have to show my dad my money.  See ya."
Harper couldn't believe that anyone would walk away from God's mercy.  It's so beautiful.  I wonder why they don't see it?  Harper was lost in thought when her mom walked up to her.
"Hey, Harper did you enjoy the egg hunt?"
"Oh, Mom, wait until I show you the treasure I found.  You're are going to love it!"
